David John Hensman - is a Canadian Covenant Award winning artist who has been an avid singer-songwriter and musician since High School. It was there he began to write and perform with his band Fish Tank and lead worship at his local church. He performed with the Last Harvest Band from 1980 to 1983 and joined Alpha Omega Band in 1986, an evangelical rock outreach ministry. After college he began to pastor a church in 1987.

In 1992 Dave started a home Bible study with eight friends that grew into a number of Calvary Chapel churches committed to authentic worship, teaching the whole Bible, living free in the Holy Spirit and fostering a creative community for musicians and artists. Although Dave contributed a few songs to various worship projects during that season, he spent most of his musical energy encouraging and mentoring others.

In 2006 he released “These Are The Days”, The album received critical acclaim and was nominated for a Canadian Gospel Music Award as the "Praise and Worship Album of the Year". It was also nominated as the "Gospel Recording of the Year" by the East Coast Music Awards.

His newest CD “Find Me” or “Blessed Are The Lost Ones” was released in 2009. Of the albums 13 tracks, it features 5 new songs co-written with Travis Thuro as well as one with Brian Doerksen. Also featured is the guest vocal work of Tim Neufeld (Starfield) and Brian Doerksen amongst others. "Find Me" has gone on to win a covenant award and 3 covenant award nominations as well as another nomination from the ECMA in 2010.

Dave is the president of Nex Gen World Leadership, a ministry focused on training young Christian leaders. His Kingdom focused company, Big Sky Ventures has three components: Big Sky Management, Big Sky Music, and Big Sky Motivational Presentations. In 2003 he purchased one of BC’s leading property management companies: Teamwork Property Management, which enables him to fund missions around the world. He pastors and teaches bi-weekly at The Bridge, a church he planted with his friends Dean Richmond, Brian Doerksen and Irv Esau.

He makes his home in Mission, BC where he lives with his wife Dee, two grown daughters who appear to still live there, a cat, uninvited wild forest animals and a multitude of friends and visitors. Never a dull moment.
