Shir is Musak 2008

Each year I try to take portions of time to reflect and repent. Setting aside a week every so often and deliberately taking inventory and confessing sin and failures to the Lord is very healthy for me. Don’t get me wrong. I have to make daily confessions as well (numbers of them), but reflection weeks are times that I am truly asking God to do a deeper work. This song was born in one of those seasons.

I confess today my sin is in the way
Of knowing You deeply
Surrendering completely
I have a desperate need to be changed rearranged

I confess to You I need a break through
To a living revival
I make no denial
I have a desperate need to be changed, rearranged

Rain down Your mercy over me
Til my tears flow free and my eyes they see the rain fall
Rain down Your kingdom from above
Contagious fire with holy love yet gentle like a dove

Rain down over me over me over me Rain down over me
